IMPORTANT: BY SUBMITTING YOUR MUSIC YOU AGREE TO ALLOW GROUNDWERK TO ARCHIVE YOUR SONG ON GROUNDWERK’s TWITCH AND YOUTUBE CHANNELS IN PERPETUITY.
PLease do this right now:
Rename your track's file name in this format: Artist name – Track name – Mix name.
ie: Joel West – It's Awake – Original Mix
Please do not send tracks that can be found on Soundcloud, websites, Facebook, a label, etc, or work which has at any point been able to be found publicly on the internet
IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION
◘ Required fields are marked with an asterix*
◘ We accept new unreleased underground electronic music
◘ Each artist may submit one track per month
◘ Each track must be submitted by a producer of or an artist on the track
◘ Music must contain electronic elements. Tracks that consist of predominantly live instruments may not be accepted.
◘ We except up to 10-15 songs per month. Songs are chosen based on a combination of creativity, production quality, diversity amongst other submissions and the inclusion of new submitters.
TECHNICAL & LENGTH
◘ Please send us lossless formats: WAV or AIFF are great
◘ Suggested maximum track length: around 6 minutes (we may fade out if longer)
◘ Please keep files under 100MB in size where possible
◘ Running through your own mastering chain is fine
MONTHLY QUOTA , CUTOFF, & SELECTION
◘ Submissions open three weeks prior to the next event
◘ Submissions close one week prior to the next event
◘ Groundwerk can accept between 10-15 tracks per event, and the number may change at our discretion on an event-by-event basis. Should we exceed that number of submissions, the submissions will be curated in greater depth
◘ A list of artists that will be included in the next event will be posted before the event is to take place, via social media. Give us a follow
◘ Submitting does not guarantee selection for the next event
◘ We reserve the right to refuse inclusion of any material, ie hate speech

◘ Please have your track named properly, in lossless format (WAV, AIFF)
◘ Put your track in a folder with your artist name on it in Dropbox or Google Drive, and copy the share folder link to paste later. You will send us this download link
◘ Please have 1-3 social media links ready (if you have them)
◘ Fill out the required fields below
◘ Click the Submit button, at the bottom left of the Submit page
◘ A Thank You message will appear
◘ Congrats, you have taken a bold step into a new world. Untz untz!
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY MUSIC AFTER AN EVENT
◘ All music submitted to Groundwerk Vancouver is protected by standard Canadian copyright laws and will not be distributed or duplicated without your permission
◘ If you said yes to Groundwerk posting your track to Soundcloud, it may be included in our selections from that event on our Soundcloud channel. We generally post within one week of the previous event.
