Bass Coast 2016
Another Bass Coast has come and gone, and once again we are left with feelings of love, possibiliy and inpsiration.
The Groundwerk team, along with some of our lovely community members & dear friends embarked on a journey to Merrit to connect with each other, dance our hearts out and bask in bliss for a few days before returning back to the real world.
We are consistantly blown away with the attention to detail that goes into creating the incredible atmosphere that is Bass Coast. Every aspect of the festival was so carefully thought out and excecuted, from the extravagantly detailed stages to the inteligently curated music schedule and increasingly advanced art instalations.
To say that Bass Coast is a magical place is an understatement. Bass Coast is a Utopia, filled with the most loving and open-minded mix of creative individuals. It's a place where anyone and everyone belongs and can contribute to each other's experience. This festival continues to do a wonderful job engaging a diverse array of Western Canada's thriving electronic music and arts community.
We had the priveledge of hosting a Panel Discussion in the Brain Friday evening focused on Growing Community-Based Electronic Music Scenes in Canada. Stay tuned for video footage.
We are counting down the days until we can return to the river and dance barefoot again among friends from around the region.
Below are some images captured through the eyes of Groundwerk friend Chris Marcinkiewicz (The GOAT).
